author of The Glister Journals series. The artwork is done as promotional work for her series~!
The author wanted each piece to include one of the four main human characters, along with their animal companions. The book's plot centers on four young adults and how their relationships with their horses help them grow and connect to new people. I got to read Bronze, the first book in the series, a few months ago before it was published!
It was VERY good,and I suggest you all go check it out! [link]
Keep a lookout in following weeks for the next three pieces! Each of them were finished several months ago, but are being released now to celebrate the official release of the first book of the series!

Ooh, I see you played with a canvas texture in this one! I love seeing little things that change in your work from piece to piece. I really love the horse's mane and ear in this one - those lines look like parts of a contour map! Very cool aesthetic.
